Don’t be fooled by its appearance, the AKAHO tablecloth may seem simple from afar, but up close, you will see the myriad of small details that make this piece so unique and singular. Set against a Snow-coloured background, a scattering of fine Charcoal or Turmeric stripes appear, creating a subtle but surprising result.
Continuing a craftsmanship unique to a small town in northern India, from the dyeing and embroidery to the weaving and thread spinning, the AKAHO tablecloth is entirely made by hand. Creating these pretty pieces not only allows the women who make them to supplement their income but also to preserve an ancestral savoir-faire.
With its own identity and singular set of patterns, each artisanal piece is unique.
