Cotton bag

In the TAYI bag, we combine the modern trend of quilting with our ancestral love of traditional fabrics. The TAYI is made from our AJRAK fabrics. The fabrics are first block-printed by hand with traditional Indian patterns before being dyed, and then assembled together to create the quilted design. The three patterns are each very different but perfectly complementary: poetic flowers, graphic triangles and original rectangles.

Made from natural vegetable dyes, the AJRAK fabrics are living materials, whose colours will continue to evolve, developing a unique patina over time. The red and orange are extracted from madder roots, the brown from rhubarb roots, the blue from indigo plants, and the yellow from the pomegranate fruit. Complementary and contrasting, the colours of the TAYI are simply irresistible.
